1275cc. This Mini 1275 GT, wearing the same shade of Astral Blue metallic that it has worn from new, has covered a genuine 13,735 miles, and comes with a long MoT to 10th August 2026. This is a highly original example that has been part of a private collection of Minis for the last five years, and the vendor describes it as “the real deal, like stepping back in time”. It was in dry storage from 1991 to 2015, then given a bare-metal respray and fully recommissioned, retaining nearly all of the original fixtures and fittings. It has apparently never been welded, and the engine has never been out of the car.
The interior features the optional wooden dash, original seat covers and carpets, factory-fitted heater and original locks, chrome and glazing, and dealer-fitted sunroof. The car was supplied with Ziebart rust proofing from new, and an original inspection stamp can be found under the passenger seat. Parts renewed during the 2015 recommissioning reportedly included a new exhaust, new brake flexis, rear cylinders and shoes, thermostat, oil pressure switch, all new hoses and more. The radiator has also been replaced, and the car sits on new tyres all round.
The history folder contains various receipts, some going back to the 1990s, and one showing that the steering rack gaiters have just been replaced. Also included are tax discs going back to 1980, an original handbook and service book, the latest V5C and an old-style V5.
